Our Family

Prior to becoming the owner of Globe Life-Smith Agencies, Ryan was appointed as Vice President of Agency Development for Family Heritage. Before Ryan came to Family Heritage, he spent time with Combined Insurance as Director of Divisional Development, where his focus was to advise senior leadership on the development of sales managers along with mentoring agents as they transitioned into their new management positions. 

Ryan also spent 11 years with Aflac in numerous capacities; starting his career as an agent and soon after he was promoted into management. Ryan was then promoted into the Aflac Headquarter's Field Force Development as one of the first Coordinator Trainers to focus in on the development of managers while assisting in the development of new training modules for state operations in two of the largest territories in the United States. Ryan has enjoyed his 24 years in the Insurance Industry helping protect families and helping develop teams.

 Along with his career in Insurance, Ryan also served for 18 years in the United States Army as enlisted and as a Commissioned Officer in the Infantry. The values and leadership that was learned during this time helped him in his Civilian career.
